The upcoming anime adaptation of Byลซ's Let's Go Kaikigumi manga has dropped its full trailer, showcasing the series' opening theme and revealing a new cast addition. The trailer previews the opening song "Kimi ga Waruindakara ne" performed by idol group SWEET STEADY, and the ending theme "Iwashite ne?" by Uketsu.
Joining the previously announced cast, Kana Hanazawa will voice the character Yukinko. The anime stars Tasuku Hatanaka as the unnamed protagonist and Ruriko Aoki as Mechako, the leader of the "Kaikigumi" organization tasked with managing supernatural entities. The series also features Yoshino Aoyama as Shurako, Yuki Sakakihara as Doppelganger, and Shigeru Chiba as the narrator.
Directed by Yutaka Hirata at C-Station, with series scripts supervised and written by Mutsumi Ito, Let's Go Kaikigumi features character designs by Yoshimitsu Yamashita. Uketsu, known for his work on the Omocoro web service and the novel The Strange House, is also contributing to the anime's production and credited for song collaboration.
The horror-comedy manga, which serialized on Omocoro from 2018 to 2024, follows a timid protagonist who becomes involved with the Kaikigumi, leading to a series of bizarre, non-frightening supernatural events. The anime is set to premiere on July 5, airing on TBS and its affiliates.
