South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) hosted its inaugural AI Creative Contest on October 24, 2026, at the Kakao AI Campus. The event, which falls under the ministry's National AI Competition, invited elementary school students to explore creative expression through artificial intelligence, specifically focusing on the theme of "A Future Living Alongside AI."

The competition utilized four AI tools developed by domestic companies: Solar, Math AI, Miricanvas, and Witoon. According to the report by YNA, the event began with preliminary rounds in 10 regions on June 21, attracting roughly 1,700 participants. To prepare, students received training in AI ethics and tool operation, with support provided by elementary school teachers acting as mentors. The final event concluded as a festival for 300 finalists and their families.
