The romantic comedy series Koori no Jouheki (The Ramparts of Ice) is officially getting a second season. The announcement came Friday at the conclusion of the anime's first season finale. A teaser visual was also unveiled on the show's official website, confirming production is underway for a Fall 2026 premiere.

The second season is slated to begin airing on October 1, 2026, at 11:56 p.m. on TBS and its affiliated stations. The first season, produced by Studio KAI, adapted Koucha Agasawa's web manga and debuted in Spring 2026, with Netflix handling international streaming.

Koori no Jouheki follows Koyuki Hikawa, a high school student who struggles with insecurity and overthinking, leading her to appear unapproachable. Her life takes a turn when she encounters Minato Amamiya and Youta Hino, who help her break out of her shell. The series explores themes of friendship, romance, and navigating adolescence.

Koucha Agasawa's original manga began as a self-published webtoon before its serialization on the LINE Manga website from January 2020 to April 2022. The manga has achieved significant popularity, with over 2.8 million copies in circulation, including digital editions, as of February 2025.
