Konami is bringing the stealth mechanics of the Metal Gear Solid franchise to pet owners with a new line of limited-edition cat boxes. The collection features two iconic designs: the Pink Love Box and the classic Barrel Box, both modeled after the series' famous hiding spots.
The products will make their debut at the Konami booth during CatCon, held at the Pasadena Convention Center on October 10 and 11. For those unable to attend the event in Southern California, OKS Gear is handling online distribution for the duration of the convention. This release follows a previous collaboration between OKS Gear and the franchise, which saw the production of a scratch box featuring the logo for the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2.
While the series is best known for the tactical espionage missions of Solid Snake, this merchandise marks a playful expansion into lifestyle goods. The franchise, which originated in 1987, remains active through ongoing re-releases and compilations, most recently with the 2026 launch of the Master Collection Vol. 2. Given the limited nature of these convention-exclusive items, it remains to be seen if Konami will expand the line to include other iconic series props.
