The Banished Saint's Pilgrimage: From Dying to Thriving manga by Komugi Awaya will conclude its run with the release of its third compiled volume. Amazon listings indicate that this final volume is scheduled to ship on August 10.
The story follows Princess Platina, a saint who, despite mistreatment, is given a terminal diagnosis. Her stepsister banishes her on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, accompanied by a captive knight named Eisen, who is tasked with witnessing her death. The journey's unfolding events question the fate of both characters.
This manga adaptation is based on the light novel series of the same name by Machibari. The original web novel began serialization on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in 2022 and concluded in February 2025. Earth Star Entertainment published three volumes of the light novel, illustrated by Yura Chūjō.
Komugi Awaya began serializing the manga adaptation on Square Enix's Gangan Online platform in September 2023. The second compiled volume of the manga was released in February 2025. Square Enix's Manga UP! Global service is publishing the manga in English.
