During MAPPA's 15th Anniversary Event, the studio unveiled key staff and a teaser promotional video for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Coco Uzuki's Koiseyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo (Fall in Love, You False Angels) manga. The series is slated to begin airing in 2027.
Leading the production at MAPPA, Yasutomo Okamoto will direct the series, with Youhei Yamazaki handling series composition and Mariko Oka designing the characters. The animation team also includes Takumi Hashimoto as art director, Kana Tanabe for color design, Shunsuke Taniguchi as director of photography, Ayumu Takahashi on editing, and Yuriko Waki serving as animation producer.
The shoujo romance manga, which began serialization in Kodansha's Dessert magazine in April 2023, has achieved significant popularity, with 2.25 million copies in circulation worldwide. It has also garnered critical acclaim, ranking high in the 'Kono Manga ga Sugoi!' awards and winning the 49th Kodansha Manga Award in the Shoujo category in 2025.
Kodansha USA is handling the English release of the manga, with the fifth volume scheduled for publication on June 23. A teaser visual and promotional video were revealed alongside the staff and premiere window.
