To celebrate the recent premiere of the short anime My Hero Academia: I am a hero too, series creator Kōhei Horikoshi has treated fans to a pair of new illustrations. The first piece of art, shared shortly before the short's Japanese broadcast, depicts an adult Izuku Midoriya. A follow-up illustration released shortly after features a teenage version of Eri alongside classmates Momo Yaoyorozu, Kyoka Jiro, Fumikage Tokoyami, Katsuki Bakugo, and Denki Kaminari.
The short itself provides a brief glimpse into the characters' lives following the conclusion of the main series, highlighting Eri’s pursuit of music and confirming that Deku has resumed his professional hero career while maintaining his responsibilities as a teacher. This narrative addition serves as a heartfelt epilogue for long-time readers and viewers.
Following its initial screening at Anime Expo this past July and a special event in Japan, the short is now available for international audiences via Crunchyroll. This release marks the second installment in the franchise's 10th-anniversary project, following the "More" episode that debuted earlier this year. With the main anime series concluding its eighth and final season last December, these shorts continue to be a vital touchpoint for the community.
