Kodansha USA Publishing revealed a fresh wave of manga acquisitions during their San Diego Comic-Con International panel this past Saturday. Among the headlining announcements is The Pool, a new series from creator Gamon Sakurai, which is slated to debut in Spring 2027.
The Pool centers on the hazardous mission of Team Sierra, a military squad working for the Tiberius Coke Corporation on an alien planet. Two decades after a mysterious wormhole connected Earth to this resource-rich world, the team discovers an SOS flare in a supposedly abandoned mine. What begins as a rescue mission quickly spirals into a fight for survival against a lethal, predatory creature stalking the facility's corridors.
In addition to the new licenses, the publisher confirmed a physical box set release for Saka Mikami’s hit series, The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity. This collection will bundle the first six volumes of the story and is scheduled for a Spring 2027 release, catering to collectors looking to catch up on the series.
