The production team for the Kindergarten WARS anime has announced that Sumire Morohoshi will join the cast as Una, the formidable teacher of the kindergarten's Violet class. Morohoshi joins an already stacked ensemble that includes Atsumi Tanezaki as the protagonist Rita and Kentarō Kumagai as Doug.
Directed by Shinsuke Gomi, known for his work on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, the series is a co-production between studios Sunrise and Felix Film. Junko Yamanaka, whose portfolio includes Kamisama Kiss, is spearheading character design for the project. Fans can look forward to the series' debut in spring 2027.
Based on Yū Chiba’s hit manga serialized on Shonen Jump+, the story follows Rita, a legendary assassin turned kindergarten protector, as she defends the children of world leaders. The series, which has surpassed 2 million copies in circulation, is currently in its final arc. Readers looking for more content before the anime's launch can check out the Kindergarten WARS -LUKE- spin-off, which debuted in late 2024.
