The hitman action-comedy Kill Blue is set to return for a second season, as confirmed by the anime's production staff immediately after the first season's finale aired. Creator Tadatoshi Fujimaki, also known for Kuroko's Basketball, celebrated the announcement with a special illustration.

The first season of Kill Blue, which adapts Fujimaki's manga about a legendary assassin who wakes up in his teenage body and must infiltrate a school, premiered in April 2026. The series was produced by CUE, a studio established in 2023 by former Production I.G executive Rui Kuroki, and featured character designs by Miho Daidōji. The opening theme was performed by aespa and the ending by RIIZE.

Fans can find the series across multiple streaming platforms. In Japan, it aired on networks including TV Tokyo and AT-X, and began streaming on April 11. Internationally, North America has access through services like Crunchyroll, Prime Video, Netflix, and others, including FAST channels. Viz Media is also publishing the manga in print and digitally, with the seventh volume slated for release in August 2026.
