Chukyo TV has announced a live-action television adaptation of Keiko Suenobu's Ochitara Owari manga. The series is set to debut on July 1 in the "Suiyō Platinight" timeslot across Chukyo TV, NTV, and their national affiliates.

The drama stars former AKB-48 member Mariko Shinoda as Kumiko Mamiya and television announcer Misato Ugaki as Asumi Tsukishima. Taeko Asano, known for scripting the live-action Marmalade Boy and More Than Words, is handling the series' scripts.

Ochitara Owari follows the complex relationships of housewife Asumi Tsukishima, who achieves her dream of moving into a new high-rise with her family. Her new life brings her into contact with old classmate Kumiko Mamiya, who also resides in the building. The manga originally ran in Kodansha's Be Love magazine from June 2019 to September 2023, concluding with its tenth and final volume in October 2023.

This adaptation adds to Suenobu's history of having her works brought to live-action. Her Life manga received a TV adaptation in 2007 and its sequel Life 2: Giver/Taker was adapted in January. The Limit manga also inspired a live-action series in 2013. Suenobu recently launched a new manga titled Addict in April.
