Kei Sanbe, the acclaimed mangaka behind the genre-defining thriller ERASED, has returned with a brand-new series. Titled Aria's Adventures in Miracleland (Kiseki no Shima no Aria), the manga launched this week via Kadokawa’s Comic Newtype digital platform, with the first chapter already available for readers on the KadoComi website.

The narrative follows a young girl who struggles with social alienation and harbors an intense, singular trust in her father. Her life takes a harrowing turn when she is coerced into acting as a lookout for her father during a criminal act, which quickly escalates into robbery and murder. Following these traumatic events, she awakens on a mysterious, isolated island that appears to be entirely uninhabited.

Sanbe remains a prolific force in the industry, having recently concluded The 13th Footprint in late 2025 and launched Snow Drop Anata no Shi o Nozomimasu in Young Gangan just last November. His work continues to resonate internationally, with major titles like For the Kid I Saw in My Dreams and Island in a Puddle receiving English-language releases.

This new project arrives nearly a decade after the height of his career-defining work, ERASED, which earned multiple award nominations and inspired both a 2016 anime adaptation and a Netflix live-action series. Readers looking to follow his latest venture can find the new series currently serializing digitally through Kadokawa's official channels.
