The television adaptation of Kyouko Hikawa’s fantasy romance manga Kanata kara (From Far Away) has revealed its core production team and voice cast. A newly released teaser trailer and visual confirm the series will debut on October 5, 2026, with airings scheduled across Tokyo MX, ABC TV, and WOWOW.

Noriyuki Abe, recognized for his long-running work on Bleach, will direct the series at Studio Deen. The production staff includes series composer Rika Nakase, character designer Eiji Abiko, and composer Takeshi Hama. Leading the voice cast, Tomoyo Kurosawa will portray the protagonist Noriko Tachiki, while Kentarou Kumagai steps into the role of Izark Kia Tarj. They are joined by Yuuichirou Umehara as Rachef and Eiji Takeuchi as Keimos Lee Goda.

This project adapts a foundational shoujo title that ran in LaLa magazine for over a decade. The original 14-volume manga concluded in 2003 and earned the 35th Seiun Award for best comic in 2004. VIZ Media previously brought the series to English-speaking readers, and the upcoming production aims to translate the emotional scope of Hikawa's work for modern television audiences.
