The September issue of Nihonbungeisha's Comic Heaven magazine has confirmed that creator KAKERU will debut a new manga series, Succubus Hunter Exex, in the magazine's next issue on August 31. The announcement features a provocative premise, teasing a story set in a Japan overrun by enemies where a singular, powerful bond serves as the catalyst for changing the world.
This project follows a busy period for the artist. KAKERU recently concluded the long-running Legend of Heaven's Door (Tenkū no Tobira), which spanned 23 volumes and transitioned from the defunct Sakura Hearts magazine to Comic Heaven back in 2012.
Beyond this new launch, KAKERU maintains a heavy schedule with ongoing hits. The author's Into the Deepest, Most Unknowable Dungeon (FukaFuka Dungeon Kōryakukii) continues to see success on Mag Garden’s Mag Comi platform, with its 20th volume arriving on August 7. Additionally, the series Creature Girls: A Hands-On Field Journal in Another World remains a staple on Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross, with English-language editions of both titles currently available through Seven Seas Entertainment’s Ghost Ship imprint.
