Kakao Games has finalized a strategic agreement with The Grimm Entertainment to develop and publish a new suite of video games based on the studio's extensive catalog of webtoons. Founded by influential artist Taejun Pak, the studio has become a powerhouse in the digital comics industry, boasting a library that frequently tops charts both in South Korea and abroad.

The collaboration centers on adapting high-profile properties such as Lookism and Manager Kim (also known as Agent Kim: Reactivated). The studio’s reach extends beyond static webcomics; their title Viral Hit has already successfully transitioned into an anime series and a Japanese live-action adaptation, proving the versatility of their storytelling for multimedia formats.

Leadership from both organizations emphasized that this move is designed to bridge the gap between serialized narrative and interactive gameplay. Kakao Games CEO Si-woo Lee stated that the partnership aims to leverage the existing, dedicated fanbases of these webtoons to create compelling experiences for players. Meanwhile, The Grimm Entertainment CEO Hyung-soo Ahn noted that the deal represents a deliberate effort to maximize the cross-media potential of their intellectual property portfolio.
