The production team for the Kagurabachi anime adaptation has expanded its cast list, introducing two new voice actors alongside dedicated character promotional videos. Miku Itou, known for her work in The Quintessential Quintuplets, will voice Hinao, while Miyari Nemoto, recognized for Ruri no Houseki, steps into the role of Char Kyounagi. These character-focused clips offer an early look at how the series will translate Takeru Hokazono’s high-octane manga aesthetic to the screen.
Helmed by director Tetsuya Takeuchi at studio Cypic, the project is currently slated for a Spring 2027 premiere. The visual identity of the show is being shaped by character designer Keigo Sasaki, with production duties shared between Shochiku and CyberAgent. The series aims to capture the intensity of the original Weekly Shounen Jump source material, which has seen significant growth since its debut in September 2023.
While the anime remains in development, the manga continues to maintain a strong presence in the industry with 4 million copies currently in circulation. VIZ Media, which handles the English-language release, has been keeping pace with the Japanese publication schedule, with the ninth volume arriving this November. Given the long lead time until the 2027 premiere, it remains to be seen how much of the manga's current arc will be covered in this initial adaptation.
