The television anime adaptation of Ikkō Tanaka's Junket Bank will not meet its planned October debut. The production committee announced on Wednesday that the series has been delayed indefinitely, citing the need for additional time to resolve scheduling conflicts within the animation production process. A revised premiere date remains unconfirmed.

The series, which follows the high-stakes gambling exploits of banker Akira Mitarai after his transfer to a specialized department, was originally slated to begin airing on TV Tokyo on October 5. The project features a notable staff lineup, including director Seiji Kishi, series composer Makoto Fukami, and character designer Masanori Shino. The voice cast is led by Sōma Saitō as Shin Mafutsu and Rikuya Yasuda as Akira.

While the anime's debut is on hold, the source material continues to maintain a steady release pace. Tanaka launched the manga in Young Jump in 2020, with Shueisha releasing the 22nd compiled volume this past July. Given the intense, high-tension nature of the gambling sequences, the extra production time may be necessary to maintain the visual fidelity required for the series' signature psychological duels.
