Actor Jun-yeol Ryu has been tapped to headline Netflix's upcoming live-action series Outback, an adaptation of the popular webtoon G'day. The series hails from Yong Sung Choi and was originally serialized on Lezhin Comics from 2015 to 2017.
The story centers on Shion, who travels to Australia after losing contact with his sister, Shiyoung. His investigation into her disappearance leads him to suspect the residents of her share house are involved.
Ryu is set to portray Hans, a character depicted as a villain in the source material. The adaptation is expected to reimagine the role for the live-action format. A release date for the series has not yet been announced.
