According to the July data from Circana BookScan, the first volume of the series secured the #2 spot on the adult graphic novel list, underscoring the franchise's enduring popularity as readers continue to pick up earlier entries alongside the latest releases.
The influence of Japanese manga on the U.S. market is clearer than ever, with 18 of the 20 titles on the July list originating from Japan. Akutami’s work was particularly dominant, holding seven of those positions. This includes not only the series' debut and the prequel Jujutsu Kaisen 0, but also recent volumes like 29 and 30, proving that the series maintains strong momentum across its entire publication history.
Other notable titles appearing on the chart include Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece volume 112 at #5, Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man volume 21, and the debut volume of Mokumokuren’s The Summer Hikaru Died. These rankings are based on point-of-sale data from over 16,000 U.S. retailers, covering approximately 85% of the domestic trade print book market, and specifically exclude titles categorized as children's graphic novels.
