The latest sales data from Circana BookScan confirms that Jujutsu Kaisen remains a juggernaut in the U.S. market. Volume 30 of Gege Akutami’s supernatural hit secured the #1 position on the June list of top-selling adult graphic novels, leading a pack of titles that highlights the continued dominance of manga in the American publishing landscape.
In total, manga comprised 17 of the top 20 spots on the monthly chart. Akutami’s work was particularly well-represented, with multiple volumes—including the first three entries and Volume 29—appearing alongside the prequel volume, Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man Volume 21 also saw strong performance, landing in the second spot.
Other notable entries on the list include the debut volume of Kei Urana’s Gachiakuta at #6, The Summer Hikaru Died at #8, and the long-running One Piece Omnibus Edition at #13. The chart, which tracks point-of-sale data from over 16,000 retail locations, excludes children's graphic novels and non-manga art books to focus specifically on the adult trade market.
This sustained performance reflects the series' massive footprint in the industry, bolstered by the high-octane adaptations from MAPPA. As the manga nears its conclusion, these sales figures demonstrate that reader interest in the series remains at an all-time high.
