The production team behind the upcoming Josemaru short anime has unveiled a second teaser and visual, providing a deeper look at the project while confirming key personnel. Riho Tsuda has been selected to voice the titular character, a zero-year-old dog plush toy conceptualized by creator Inochi-ya as a tiny creature coexisting with the real world.
Inochi-ya is leading the project as director, with the production leaning heavily into tactile visuals. The series features stop-motion animation handled by Rikuto Konagaya and Hiroki Itō of dwarf studios. Additional staff updates include character designer Mai Narushima, sound effects artist Yuika Shiraishi, and promotional designer Hirotoshi Ikewaki, with music and animation production managed by Flow Entertainment.
The project is part of a broader push into short-form content by TV Asahi. Josemaru will serve as a cornerstone for the network's new "PicoAni" programming block. Viewers can expect the series to begin its broadcast run in January 2027, with new episodes scheduled to air every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. JST.
