The television anime adaptation of Ryon's romance comedy manga, Jirai nan desu ka? Chihara-san, is set for a January 2027 debut. Originally slated for a 2026 release, the series will now broadcast on 28 MBS and TBS-affiliated stations during the Super Animeism Turbo block, premiering at 12:26 a.m.

New cast members announced include Maaya Uchida as Chinatsu Iwakura and Tomokazu Sugita as Hibiya, with Daisuke Ono voicing Kazami. The production team features Yasuaki Fujii, known for his work on Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san, as director at SynergySP. Keiichirou Ooch is on board for series composition, while Majiro handles character designs. Alisa Okehazama will compose the music.

Supporting staff roles include Hisae Arimoto as Art Director, Emi Kadono for Color Design, Arimasa Watanabe as Director of Photography, and Daiki Yamaki as Sound Director with Imagica EMS handling sound production. The manga, which began serialization on Comic Smart's Ganma! platform in June 2021, has reached its eighth volume. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the series for English publication, with the first volume scheduled for release on September 29.
