Powerful Pro Baseball 2026-2027 took the top spot in Japan's video game sales for the week of June 8-14, according to Famitsu. The Konami title sold 100,976 copies in its debut week.
Following in second place was Nintendo's Tomodachi Life, which has now sold over 1.3 million units since its release. Konami's eFootball Kick-Off! secured the third position, adding 8,143 copies to its total sales.
This week's rankings also saw new entries from major franchises. Pokémon Pokopia from Nintendo landed at number four, while Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Rebirth debuted at number eight. Other notable new entries included Nintendo's Mario Kart World and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book.
Long-standing titles like Microsoft's Minecraft and Nintendo's Splatoon 3 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate continue to maintain strong sales figures, demonstrating their enduring popularity in the Japanese market.
