Konami's Powerful Pro Baseball 2026-2027 debuted in second place with 28,409 units sold. Square Enix saw its new RPG, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, chart in third place on the Nintendo Switch with 23,674 units and fourth on PlayStation 5 with 14,843 units.

Long-term bestsellers also remained strong, including PokΓ©mon Pokopia, Mario Kart World, and Minecraft, which boasts over 4.2 million lifetime sales in Japan. Nintendo titles dominated the top 20, with multiple entries from franchises like Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and Kirby.

Lifetime sales figures highlight the enduring appeal of Nintendo's first-party software. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold over 8.4 million units, while Super Smash Bros.
