Rhythm Heaven Groove continues its strong performance in the Japanese market, securing the number one position on the sales charts for the week of August 10-16. With 83,536 copies sold during this period, the title has now reached a total lifetime sales figure of 873,839 units. It remains the clear frontrunner in a week otherwise defined by the enduring popularity of established Nintendo Switch mainstays.
Following in second place is Splatoon Raiders, which added 32,535 units to its total, bringing the title to 613,147 copies sold since its July 23 release. The rest of the top five features familiar heavy hitters, including Tomodachi Life, Pokémon Pokopia, and Powerful Pro Baseball 2026-2027. Notably, the top ten list is almost entirely dominated by Nintendo hardware, with the exception of the PS5 title Beast of Reincarnation from Happinet, which moved 5,147 units to take the eighth spot.
Further down the rankings, the industry saw the debut of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered - Deluxe Edition, which entered the charts at number 15 with 2,539 copies sold. Meanwhile, long-running evergreen titles like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate continue to maintain a consistent presence on the charts, proving that older releases remain a significant component of the Japanese gaming landscape.
