Tomodachi Life claimed the top spot in Japan's video game sales rankings for the week of April 13-19, according to Famitsu. The Nintendo Switch title sold an impressive 565,405 copies in its debut week.

Following closely behind was CAPCOM's Pragmata for PlayStation 5, which launched to 36,470 units sold. The Nintendo Switch title Pokémon Pokopia secured third place, adding 19,096 copies to its total sales.

Several other Nintendo Switch titles rounded out the top five, including Mario Kart World and Minecraft. Evergreen titles such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continued to show sustained sales, indicating their enduring popularity in the Japanese market.

Other notable entries in the top 20 included Doraemon Dorayakiya-san Monogatari, Nintendo Switch Sports, and various Pokémon titles, alongside Crimson Desert and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
