Kensuke Nishida, the artist recognized for his work on the gritty action series Jagaan, is returning to serialization with a fresh project. The August issue of Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine confirmed that Nishida’s new dark fantasy isekai, titled Yūsha Yukio (Hero Yukio), is slated to begin its run in the magazine’s next issue, arriving on August 19.

The series shifts away from the urban chaos of his previous works to focus on a protagonist named Yukio. According to initial details, the story follows a character who possesses the unique traits of being the world's luckiest man while simultaneously serving as the strongest hero since birth.

Nishida previously collaborated with writer Muneyuki Kaneshiro on Jagaan, which spanned 14 volumes between 2017 and 2021. Beyond his partnership with Kaneshiro, Nishida also drew the I am a Hero in Nagasaki spin-off. His collaborator, Kaneshiro, remains a prominent figure in the industry, currently overseeing the global hit Blue Lock alongside artist Yūsuke Nomura.
