Isekai Cheat Magician, a 12-episode fantasy series from Encourage Films, has arrived on Crunchyroll with both English dub and subtitle options. The show follows Taichi Nishimura and Rin Azuma, two high school friends who are suddenly transported to a magical world where they discover they possess incredible, almost unfair, magical abilities.
Adapted from the manga of the same name, the series places its protagonists into a world teeming with monsters and adventure, where their newfound cheat-level magic quickly sets them apart. While the premise offers a familiar power fantasy common in the isekai genre, it scored a 6.51 on MyAnimeList, indicating a mixed reception from viewers.
The series concluded its initial run in Summer 2019, and its availability on Crunchyroll now allows fans to experience the complete story, including the subsequent OVA Isekai Cheat Magician: Starry Night Festival, which is also available on the platform.
