An alternate promotional video for the upcoming Iron Wok Jan! anime has been released, offering a new look at the culinary competition series. This revised trailer includes commentary from the character Nichido Otani, a food critic known for his discerning palate and difficult personality. Joining the cast is Tomokazu Sugita, who will voice Ryūji Bitō, a traveling chef specializing in Chinese cuisine and known by the moniker "XO Sauce Ryū." He enters cooking duels against chefs from various Chinese restaurants. The anime's main cast previously announced includes Kikunosuke Toya as Jan Akiyama and Ikumi Hasegawa as Kiriko Gobanchō, with Kenjirō Tsuda serving as narrator.
The production team also confirmed that Iron Wok Jan! will begin streaming in Japan on July 5 at 6:00 p.m. JST across multiple platforms, including Anime Times, ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai. The series will also premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on the same date, airing Sundays at 5:30 p.m. JST.
