The first television anime project from the hololive VTuber agency has been titled hololive: Let's Head Out!, known in Japan as Odekake hololive. During a recent livestream, Kadokawa and COVER Corporation revealed that the series will follow 29 of the agency's talents as they step away from their streaming setups to explore various locations across Japan. The project is framed as an omnibus travelogue, focusing on the VTubers' off-screen adventures, from local culinary excursions to visits to unexpected destinations.

The production team is led by director Shunsuke Machitani, with Ōri Yasukawa serving as assistant director at Studio KAI. Kōdai Minami is handling series composition, and Masatoshi Tsuji is overseeing character design. Studio KAI is a familiar partner for the agency, having previously collaborated on various music videos and shorter animated promotional content.

This anime serves as a centerpiece for the agency's 10th-anniversary celebrations. The massive ensemble cast includes a wide range of talent, from early members like Tokino Sora and Roboco San to later generations including La+ Darknesss and Kazama Iroha. While the visual confirms the core roster, the specific episode count and premiere window remain unconfirmed.

Why it matters: The transition from digital streaming to a traditional travel-omnibus format highlights a new direction for the agency's multimedia presence. With 29 members confirmed for the cast, it remains to be seen how the production will balance screen time across such a large group of distinct personalities.
