Comic-Con International has announced the nominees for the 2026 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, with several manga titles recognized across various categories. Keigo Shinzō's Hirayasumi and Kazumi Yamashita's Land are among the contenders for Best U.S. Edition of International Material—Asia, alongside Shinzō's Tokyo Alien Bros., Chang Sheng's Yan, and Sanho's Purgatory Funeral Cakes.

Kazumi Yamashita received a second nomination for Best Writer/Artist for the initial volume of Land. Further recognition came for Shintaro Kago, whose short manga stories "Blood Harvest" and "The Curse Room" are nominated for Best Short Story, collected in the Brain Damage book. Anime director Rintarō's biographical manga My Life in 24 Frames per Second is also a nominee for Best Graphic Memoir.

Other manga-related works nominated include Kodansha USA's collection of Katsuhiro Ōtomo's Akira for Best Archival/Collection Project, and Andrea Horbinski's Manga's First Century: How Creators and Fans Made Japanese Comics for Best Academic/Scholarly Work. Additionally, The Art of Manga and Fruits Basket: The Complete Box Set are nominated for Best Publication Design, while hakei's DeadAss is in the running for Best Digital Comic.

This year's Eisner Awards will also honor manga creator Gō Nagai with induction into the Will Eisner Comic Awards Hall of Fame.
