The upcoming television anime adaptation of Keigo Shinzou's Hirayasumi has expanded its roster, announcing five new cast members joining the project. Daisuke Namikawa will voice Hideki Noguchi, joined by Youko Hikasa as Yomogi Tachibana, Yume Miyamoto as Akari Yokoyama, Yuuichirou Umehara as Ryou Ishikawa, and Yuuko Naitou as the narrator. The series is currently slated for a January 2027 premiere on NHK-G.
Production is being handled by studio Production +h, with Kei Suezawa directing and overseeing series composition and scripts. The creative team also includes character designer Naoyuki Asano, art director Mika Nishimura, and composer Kaori Sawada. The anime adapts the long-running slice-of-life manga that began serialization in Big Comic Spirits in 2021 and is currently approaching its final chapters.
While the anime is still in development, the source material has already garnered significant critical acclaim, including a win at the 71st Shogakukan Manga Award in 2026 and multiple nominations for the Manga Taisho. VIZ Media currently handles the English-language release of the manga, which has reached nine volumes in North America. With the manga nearing its conclusion, the anime's 2027 arrival will serve as a capstone for the franchise's recent growth.
