HIDIVE has officially secured the streaming rights for Tetsuryō! meet with Tetsudō Musume, an original anime series centered on a group of college students obsessed with railway travel. The series is set to join the platform's fall 2027 lineup, with a special world premiere screening scheduled for August 21 at Anime NYC. A newly released trailer provides a first look at the series, which follows four members of the "Tetsuryo" club as they traverse the country encountering various employees from the expansive Tetsudō Musume universe.
Directing the project is Misuzu Hoshino, known for her work on Laid-Back Camp and Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!. The production team at East Fish Studio is joined by series writer Aya Satsuki and character designer Hisanori Hashimoto. The premise is a collaborative effort between original creator TOMYTEC and novelist Kisetsu Morita, best known for I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level.
The series boasts an extensive voice cast, including May Tachibana, Mao Shōji, Haruna Fukushima, and Hika Tsukishiro, who lead the group as the members of the Railway Travel Club. These four leads also perform the ending theme, "Watashi Miraisen." The supporting cast is equally substantial, featuring industry veterans like Asami Seto, Ayaka Ōhashi, and Kana Ichinose.
This adaptation arrives as the Tetsudō Musume franchise marks two decades of existence. Since its 2005 debut, the brand has grown to include 114 distinct characters, each modeled after real-life railway employees and uniforms across Japan. The anime aims to bridge the gap between these iconic mascot characters and a narrative-driven travel story when it premieres this October.
