Publisher Game Source Entertainment has unveiled Noroi Ayashi: The ∞th Oddity, an upcoming horror RPG developed by Clover Lab., inc. The project marks a high-profile collaboration between manga artist Rensuke Oshikiri, best known for the gaming-centric series Hi Score Girl, and author Roman Kitayama, who penned the Etrange Overlord light novel series. The title is scheduled for a global release in the second quarter of 2027 across Nintendo Switch, the upcoming Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

The game centers on a protagonist named Seira who, alongside her school newspaper society members Tae and Hime, investigates the mysterious death of a friend at the ominous 'U School.' The narrative revolves around a forbidden ritual involving a 'Cursed Doll' named Aya, which traps the characters in a cycle of supernatural nightmares. The developers have categorized the single-player experience as a 'time loop horror RTA stealth action-adventure,' suggesting a focus on high-tension gameplay mechanics.

This announcement brings together two creators with distinct backgrounds in dark and unconventional storytelling. Oshikiri’s work often blends nostalgic gaming culture with unsettling horror elements, while Kitayama has recently seen his work adapted into the multi-platform game Etrange Overlord. The new title will support multiple languages at launch, including English, Japanese, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

While the game is still in development, the trailer released alongside the announcement highlights the eerie atmosphere of the school setting. With the release window set for 2027, it remains to be seen how the 'RTA' (Real Time Attack) elements will integrate with the stealth-horror gameplay loop.
