Japanese heavy metal outfit Lovebites has confirmed a temporary suspension of all live performances for the 2027 calendar year. The band emphasized that this is not a total hiatus; rather, the members will shift their focus toward studio recording, individual creative endeavors, and the development of future releases.
The quintet—comprised of vocalist Asami, guitarists Midori and Miyako, bassist Fami, and drummer Haruna—intends to resume their touring schedule in 2028. Since their formation in 2016, the group has balanced a rigorous performance schedule with their studio output, including their notable contribution to the anime industry as the performers of the opening theme for Vladlove.
This shift in operations prioritizes long-term studio production over the band's typical live presence. With a return to the stage already slated for 2028, it remains to be seen how this extended period of development will influence the sound of their next major project.
