The second season of the Hana-Kimi anime has unveiled its theme songs and a premiere date of July 1st. A newly released promotional video showcases "Flashbulb" by Omoinotake as the opening theme and "Hanataba" by the same group as the ending theme. The video also confirms the anime's return to Japanese television.

The new season will begin airing on July 1st at 12:30 a.m. JST (effectively July 2nd) across channels including Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11. For viewers in Japan, the series will also be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

The Hana-Kimi manga, created by the late Hisaya Nakajo, follows Mizuki Ashiya, a Japanese-American track star who disguises herself as a boy to enroll in an all-boys high school to be near her idol, high jumper Izumi Sano. The series has a history of adaptations, including multiple live-action dramas in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Hisaya Nakajo passed away in October 2023. The original Hana-Kimi manga ran from 1996 to 2004, with continuations and special chapters published in subsequent years. The first season of the anime premiered in January 2026 and was streamed internationally by Crunchyroll.
