To celebrate the milestone, the production team released a new promotional video and key visual, offering a glimpse at the challenges facing the Sunflower Circus troupe as they vie for a spot in the prestigious festival that gives the arc its name. The story, set against the backdrop of Japan’s economic boom in the late 1950s and early 1960s, follows the troupe’s journey alongside the circus prodigy Mizuka Tsurumaki.
Directed by Kanta Kamei, the series features a creative team that includes original character designer Kurehito Misaki and series writer Takeshi Kikuchi. The production is a notable effort from Psyde Kick Studio, a label established by A-1 Pictures in July 2025 to foster creative experimentation and support emerging talent. The show’s music features the opening theme "Yurari Yureru" by NOMELON NOLEMON and the ending theme "DAYS!" by Aooo.
