Syundei, the manga creator behind Go For It, Nakamura-kun!!, has deleted their X account, citing alleged online harassment. In a final post, Syundei expressed disillusionment with creating manga, stating they lacked the talent to please everyone and questioned the point of continuing.

The harassment reportedly stemmed from a "what if" illustration depicting characters Aiki Hirose and his teacher Sō Otogiri in a potentially inappropriate relationship. This criticism intensified following the recent television premiere of the Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! anime adaptation, leading some viewers to scrutinize Syundei's other works, particularly within the boys-love genre.

Syundei's original manga began as a short in Akaneshinsha's Opera magazine in December 2014, with new chapters starting in June 2015. A compiled volume followed in May 2017. The series continued with a sequel, Go For It Again, Nakamura!, launching in June 2017 and receiving a compiled volume in August 2021. Syundei later resumed the manga as Yurūku Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!! on Hero's Comiplex in April 2025.

The Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! anime series premiered on April 1st and is currently streaming on Crunchyroll in multiple regions, including North America, Europe, and Oceania. Crunchyroll also offers an English dub for the series.
