Syundei, the creator behind Go For It, Nakamura-kun!!, has issued a statement regarding the fifth episode of the anime adaptation, clarifying specific artistic choices. The comment, released via their publisher Hero's Web, addresses a scene where characters Aiki Hirose and Sō Otogiri exchange contact information. Syundei emphasized that this depiction was intended purely as a stylistic representation of Boys' Love (BL) and carries no deeper endorsement of such interactions between teachers and students.

Further elaborating on the production, Syundei stated they had requested the animation team to maintain the student-teacher dynamic and to avoid sexually exploitative depictions of female characters. The creator also asked for adjustments to certain explicit scenes from the manga, ensuring they were suitable for a general audience. As one of the top-rated BL series on MyAnimeList with a score of 7.8, the anime adaptation produced by Drive and produced by Aniplex has drawn attention to these creative decisions.

Syundei also announced a significant shift in their future creative direction. While acknowledging past works have explored themes of significant age gaps and adult-minor relationships, including teacher-student pairings, the creator will no longer pursue these topics. This decision comes in response to recent societal concerns regarding crimes against minors.

The creator concluded their statement with an apology to any readers who felt offended by the original manga's content. This clarification follows Syundei's recent departure from X (formerly Twitter) due to alleged harassment and complaints about their artwork, leading to doubts about their continuation as a manga creator. As of now, Syundei has not returned to the platform.
