The Psyren television anime is heading to the big screen before its home broadcast. Global Stage Hollywood announced a special event at the Chinese Theater in Los Angeles on October 3, where the second episode will receive its world premiere. The screening also includes the West Coast debut of the series premiere, with original manga creator Toshiaki Iwashiro scheduled to attend the festivities in person.

Following the Hollywood event, the series officially hits Japanese airwaves on October 4, with slots on Tokyo MX and BS11 at 11:00 p.m., followed by a later run on Sun TV. Global distribution is handled by Crunchyroll, which will provide access to the series for viewers outside of Japan and China. Distributor REMOW has confirmed that this adaptation aims to cover the entirety of the original source material, which concluded its run in 2010.

Production is currently underway at studio Satelight under the direction of Katsumi Ono, known for his work on the Symphogear franchise. The script is managed by Shin Yoshida, while Akira Ōkuma handles character design. The voice cast is led by Rikuya Yasuda as Ageha Yoshina and Mayuko Kazama as Sakurako Amamiya, with a musical score composed by a trio including Takashi Ōmama, Tatsuhiko Saiki, and Shū Kanematsu.

With the creator participating in the premiere, the event offers a rare opportunity to see how the production team intends to handle the transition from the 16-volume manga to a complete animated series. While the full scope of the adaptation is set, the specific episode count remains unconfirmed, leaving the pacing of the narrative as a key detail to watch once the series begins its run.
