Crunchyroll has unveiled new character visuals for the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends anime series, set to premiere in 2027. The revealed art showcases the Ronin, Hunter, and Assassin classes, alongside a group image featuring all three.
The anime is being directed by Takanobu Mizuno, known for his work on the "The Duel" short in Star Wars: Visions. Kamikaze Douga, also involved in Star Wars: Visions and Batman Ninja, is handling animation. Satoshi Maejima and Gen Urobuchi are penning the script, with Takashi Okazaki serving as character designer. HAYATE Inc. is overseeing production, with Aniplex collaborating and Sony Music handling music and soundtrack.
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends draws inspiration from the multiplayer component of the original game, which itself is based on the 2020 PlayStation title. While the main game focuses on the historical 1274 Mongol invasion, the Legends mode delves into Japanese folklore and mythology. The original game received a sequel, Ghost of Tsushima: Ghost of YΕtei, in October 2025.
