Singapore-based developer and publisher Garena has secured a licensing agreement to bring the Palworld franchise to mobile devices. The upcoming title, Palworld Online, is set to launch before the end of the year, marking a shift from the survival-crafting roots of the original game into the MMORPG genre.

Palworld Online is designed as a living, open-world ecosystem where players can trade, survive, and interact in real-time. The game will support both player-versus-player and player-versus-environment modes, catering to both competitive hunters and those interested in social interaction. Beyond the familiar mechanics of the original, Garena has confirmed that the mobile version will introduce exclusive side stories that expand upon the existing lore.

This move follows a period of rapid expansion for the IP, which has seen the establishment of the Palworld Entertainment joint venture and the announcement of the Palfarm spin-off. The transition to mobile coincides with significant ongoing legal challenges for developer Pocketpair, specifically regarding patent litigation with Nintendo and The PokΓ©mon Company. Despite these external pressures, the franchise continues to grow, with a television anime adaptation currently slated for a spring 2027 premiere.
