FuRyu has announced that its 2013 fantasy RPG, Exstetra, is receiving an HD remaster for PC via Steam, scheduled for release this summer. This marks the first time the title will be available with official English language support.
The upcoming Steam version will include interface and subtitle options in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese, alongside Japanese audio. While specific differences from the original release are noted, the core premise remains: players take on the role of Ryoma, a high school student destined to become a 'Prisma' and save the world of Amazea, a city merged with another dimension. Ryoma awakens potential allies, 'Prisma Knights,' through his kiss, embarking on an adventure with his companions.
The game features a notable voice cast, including Yūichi Nakamura as Ryoma, Kaori Ishihara as Shiho, Yōko Hikasa as Mizuki, and Takuya Eguchi as Masaru. Other cast members include Aya Endō, Yūki Ono, Yui Ogura, and Ai Kayano. The original Exstetra was released in Japan for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS in November 2013, with music contributions from Yoko Shimomura and a theme song by ClariS.
