The production team for From Overshadowed to Overpowered has confirmed three additional voice actors joining the series. The new cast members are set to make their debut in the seventh episode, which airs this Thursday. Shinichirō Kamio will voice Abe, while Rina Kawaguchi takes on the role of Maria, and veteran actor Hiroki Takahashi joins as the Majin (Genie).
Directed by Hisashi Ishii at studio EMT Squared, the series adapts the manga illustrated by Kentarou, which is based on the light novel series by Arata Shiraishi. The story follows Ephtal, a man reincarnated twice in a world of magic, as he attempts to master the arcane arts after failing in his previous life. The anime currently features series composition by Deko Akao and character designs by Hideki Furukawa.
International viewers can follow the series via Crunchyroll, which streams the episodes simultaneously with the Japanese broadcast. The show’s current musical lineup includes the opening theme "+Encount" by the rock band FLOW and the ending theme "Dōkei" by the vocal unit TrySail.
