From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman is set to return for its second season, with a new trailer released today showcasing the ending theme song "Mikansei" by the band BLUE ENCOUNT. The anime's continuation will begin streaming exclusively worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on July 9, with the first episode available at 12:15 a.m. JST (July 8 at 11:15 a.m. EDT).

The series will also make its Japanese broadcast debut on July 8 at 11:45 p.m. JST on TV Asahi's "IMAnimation W" block, followed by showings on AT-X and BS Asahi. The newly released trailer offers a glimpse of the action and introduces the ending theme performed by BLUE ENCOUNT.

A substantial voice cast has been revealed for the new season, including Hiroaki Hirata as Beryl Gardinant, Nao Tōyama as Allucia Citrus, and Hitomi Ueda as Surena Lysandra, among others. Key staff members from the first season are also returning, with Akio Kazumi directing the series at Passione and Hayabusa Film. Kunihiko Okada returns as series script supervisor, Satsuki Hayasaka is back for character designs and chief animation direction, and Yasuharu Takanashi will once again compose the music.

The first season of the anime, adapted from Shigeru Sagazaki's light novel series, premiered in April 2025 and is also available on Amazon Prime Video.
