The Fool Night anime adaptation is officially heading to Netflix on November 26, 2026. During the platform's panel at Anime NYC, producers unveiled a second teaser video, providing a deeper look at the series' atmospheric sci-fi world, alongside the announcement of three key cast additions.
Joining the voice cast are Aya Endou (The Ancient Magus' Bride) as Saeko Kanaeno, Junya Enoki (Jujutsu Kaisen) as Akira Yatsuka, and Kiyomitsu Mizuuchi (Ergo Proxy) as Jin Hiragishi. This expansion of the ensemble supports a high-profile production team, with Atsushi Yukawa—known for his work as an episode director on Suzume—taking the helm. The project is a notable collaboration between studios Sunrise and Shaft.
Behind the scenes, the series is being shaped by veteran industry talent, including series composer Jin Tanaka, who previously worked on Oshi no Ko, and composer Tatsuya Katou, recognized for his work on Dr. Stone. Character designs are being handled by Robert Satou.
Based on the manga by Kasumi Yasuda, which began serialization in Big Comic Superior in 2020, the story follows a grim, atmospheric narrative that has already garnered significant attention in the West. VIZ Media, which holds the English license for the source material, continues to roll out volumes, setting a strong foundation for the upcoming global streaming launch.
