The adaptation of Kasumi Yasuda’s dystopian manga Fool Night is officially heading to Netflix for a worldwide debut on November 26. The announcement, revealed at Anime NYC, confirms that the streaming platform will host the entire series upon its release.

Alongside the premiere date, a fresh teaser trailer has introduced additional cast members joining the project. Junya Enoki is set to voice the protagonist Akira Yatsuka, with Aya Endō joining as Saeko Kanaeno and Kiyomitsu Mizuuchi as Jin Hiragishi. They join a previously announced lineup that includes Kōki Uchiyama as Toshiro Kamiya and Minako Kotobuki as Yomiko Horai.

The production is a notable collaboration between studios Sunrise and SHAFT, under the direction of Atsuyuki Yukawa, who previously served as a unit director for Suzume. The series features a high-profile creative team, including screenwriter Jin Tanaka (Oshi no Ko) and composer Tatsuya Katō (Dr. Stone).

Originally serialized in Big Comic Superior since 2020, the source material has earned critical acclaim, including a top-15 placement in the 2023 edition of Kono Manga ga Sugoi!. The story follows Kamiya, a man struggling to support his ailing mother who contemplates the grim, life-altering process of "transfloration" to survive in a fading society.
