Announced in the August issue of Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion, the adaptation is scheduled to debut in the magazine's November issue, which hits shelves this October. Artist Guuno has been tapped to handle the illustrations for the project.
Originally published in December 2020, the source novel delves into the histories of Shuka and Rein, providing context for the two characters that remained unexplored during the original series' run. This expansion follows the conclusion of the main Darwin's Game manga, which wrapped up its decade-long serialization in October 2023.
For readers looking to catch up on the franchise, Titan Manga has secured the rights to the original series and is currently preparing omnibus releases. The property continues to maintain a strong presence in the industry, with a live-action film adaptation already slated for a Japanese theatrical release on March 12, 2027.
