The roster of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has expanded once again with the addition of the veteran fighter Kim Kaphwan. To celebrate his arrival, SNK released a fresh animated trailer helmed by director and creative producer Masami Ōbari, who is well-known for his work on Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture and various The King of Fighters projects. The animation was produced by Studio G-1 Neo, with June Yoon and Kunihiro Kawamoto providing the English and Japanese voice performances, respectively.

This release is part of a packed post-launch roadmap for the title, which first arrived on consoles and PC in April 2025. The development team is maintaining a rapid pace for content updates, with the Tokyo Revengers duo of Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji slated to join the fray in October. They will be followed by the arrival of Laocorn in November and a final, unannounced character scheduled for December.

Beyond the current platforms, SNK is preparing to bring the game to the Nintendo Switch 2, with a digital release set for October 22 and a physical version following in January 2027. As the franchise continues to evolve, the inclusion of legacy characters alongside unexpected crossovers highlights the series' enduring influence on the fighting game landscape since its 1991 arcade debut.
