The production team behind the Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! anime adaptation shared a second main promotional video this Friday. The new footage provides a fresh look at the chaotic daily lives of the student council members and debuts the series' ending theme, 'Pi,' performed by Akari Nanawo.
Directed by Naoyuki Tatsuwa at studio Passione, the show is scheduled to begin its broadcast run on October 3 across Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV. Domestic viewers in Japan can choose between standard and 'unrestricted' versions of the episodes, which will be available on d Anime Store and AnimeFesta. The series script is under the supervision of Masahiro Yokotani, with character designs handled by Ryo Imamura.
Based on Muchimaro's four-panel manga, the story centers on Mizunoe Ume, a student who joins the council in a desperate bid to boost his grades, only to find his new colleagues are far more eccentric than he anticipated. The source material, which earned top honors in the print category at the 2023 Next Manga Awards, is currently available in English through Seven Seas and digitally via K MANGA.
With Sangatsu no Phantasia confirmed for the opening theme, the production is clearly leaning into a high-energy musical identity. Given the rapid-fire gag nature of the original manga, the studio's ability to maintain a consistent comedic rhythm will be the primary element to watch when the series hits the airwaves next month.
